Accessibility
Last Updated: Feb 22, 2026
At Garber Ceramics, we believe the web should be a place of beauty, meaning, and equal access for every visitor — just as every handmade piece we create is meant to be felt and held comfortably.
We are committed to making our website (www.garberceramics.com) as accessible and easy to use as possible for everyone, including people with visual, motor, cognitive, and other disabilities.
We are actively improving our site to meet recognized accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which is widely regarded as the benchmark for accessibility and a best practice for ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance.
What We Are Working on Doing
- Add descriptive alternative (“alt”) text to images so assistive technologies can describe them.
- We aim for clear structure and readable content.
- We strive for sufficient contrast between text and background for better readability.
- We continuously review our site for accessibility barriers and fix them when found.
Limitations
While we work toward inclusivity, full WCAG AA compliance is an ongoing effort. We are still in the process of improving certain areas such as:
- Keyboard navigation in complex interactive areas
- Complete semantic labeling of every form element
- Full screen-reader compatibility for dynamic components
These improvements are ongoing, and we welcome feedback to help us prioritize and address issues.
