Collection: Flame-Kissed Collection
At the heart of Garber Ceramics is a love that runs deep—between two people, yes—but also between a potter and the unpredictable beauty of soda firing. This is Jason’s true love. The part of pottery where control is surrendered to flame, vapor, and minerals. Each piece in the Flame-Kissed Collection is transformed in the kiln—no two alike, no outcomes guaranteed.
This collection is a reflection of the earth itself. Every surface tells a story—not just of glaze and ash, but of heat and time, pressure and chemistry. Soda firing creates its own kind of strata: layers of sheen and blush, flashes of raw clay, subtle deposits from the flame’s passage. These pots feel ancient and alive, like something unearthed.
As archaeologists, we spent years in the field, digging through sediment and stone to uncover what came before. Now we let the kiln do the digging. Each firing becomes its own excavation—its own unpredictable dig site—where the history of the clay body is revealed through fire.
Flame-Kissed is for those who love the mystery of making. The slow transformation. The alchemy of heat and earth. These pieces are meant to be held and used, but they carry with them the quiet depth of strata—layered stories waiting to be discovered.
